Los Angeles, CA (June 29, 2009) – Acclaim Games announces the re-development of their recent MMORPG The Chronicles of Spellborn which was released in February, 2009. The development is planned to carry into 2010 and will include several enhancements and changes to the current game. The enhancements and development of the new model will be carried through a joint venture between Spellborn NV and the development studio of Frogster Asia Co. Ltd. based in Seoul, the Korean studio bringing its expertise in the field of free-to-play and micro-transactions.

After the re-development, the current subscription model will be switched to a free-to-play system supported by micro-transactions. This will open the world of Spellborn to all players and give them a chance to experience the rich lore and game-play in its entirety.

Players who are currently playing the game will be able to continue playing the game in its current form via the subscription service. At the point where the new version is released, any unused subscriptions will be credited to their accounts. Will be trying to have a guild PvP practice event on Saturday June 20th.

All are welcome to come out we will meet in the arena.

Pyx and I decided that we'd go for a 5pm PST start and meet at the Demon Chest and play there then move over to the arena. If you can we would like you to show up no matter what the level. I do understand some of the lower levels would have a hard time in the demon chest room but there have been some level 20's there last time i went.

The Chronicles of Spellborn team is working very hard and preparing the next Scroll to provide the most exciting gameplay experience to all the players! One of the main goals of the upcoming patch is to help and welcome the players in the Spellborn universe. The tutorial was one step but the developers were not really satisfied with the starting area and they decided to completely redesign it. An entire team was dedicated to this special and very important task in order to provide a better “newbie” experience to the players!


Spellborn Developers are still working on it because they want to polish and make it fantastic and fun to play! However, Matthew Florianz, Audio Director, took gladly some time to write and explain their work on this new Hawksmouth’s docks redesign and the content of the next Scroll!

We are now offically a house based guild.

This will not affect the few people we have from other houses. We will still take friends and others from other house. Our main focus for recruiting will be for Rune and Torque based house members. If you are looking for an Invite or to talk to one of our officers please contact any of us in game or here on the forums.

The time has come to fight! Prepare your blades, skill decks, and your most beautiful armors. House Maul has opened the Arena for organized matches. You will be able to sign up in Hawksmouth or the Quarterstone Arena District, to battle in The Chronicles of Spellborn! Skirmish matches are open to anyone at any time; House Maul will make sure the fairest setup of gladiators will be placed opposite of each other.
